Arabic exams and diplomas
We prepare students for the CIMA (Certificat international de maîtrise en arabe), DCL (Diplôme de compétence en langue) and LILATE (Live Language Test) exams, which assess the Arabic language skills of non-native speakers.
CIMA
The CIMA (International Certificate of Proficiency in Arabic) was developed by the Institut of the Arabic World. It was designed to meet a growing need to validate the Arabic language skills of non-native speakers, for both professional and academic reasons on an international scale. CIMA was created to enable people to prove their mastery of the Arabic language, with a rigorous exam covering all language skills, written and oral, as well as a translation test. It also enables companies and universities to recruit or accept students with a recognized certification of their level of Arabic.
It is valid for 2 years and the exam costs 156€..
DCL
The DCL (diplôme de compétence en langue) exam is organized by the French Ministry of Education and is mainly intended for people wishing to validate their level of Arabic for professional or academic reasons in France. It consists of several written and oral tests in the form of role-playing situations, and is divided into several levels ranging from beginner A2 to advanced C1.
The diploma is aligned with the CEFR levels, is valid for life and costs 100€.
LILATE
LILATE is a multilingual test that meets the needs of many companies. Much more than a language assessment tool, this adaptive online test has been designed to help companies and training organizations assess a candidate's ability to interact in a professional context.
A native-speaker examiner assesses the candidate's written and oral skills.
The test costs 150€ and results are delivered in less than 24 hours.
